Welcome to another edition of Showcase Sacramento with your friendly real estate market expert realtor Ron Ortez. Today I’m in the beautiful and nationally RECOGNIZED city of Woodland, a city considered to be part of the Greater Sacramento Metropolitan Area. I’m so happy to call Woodland my hometown and it always brings joy whenever I go there because I have so many fond memories of my adolescent years. It’s like in the movies when the actor goes back to their “hometown” and reminded of the wonderful memories and then they fall in love with their friend who never moved away. Hahaha.
Woodland was named in Livability.com’s “2021 Top 100 Best Places to Live in America.” It was ranked as Second Best small-mid-size city to live in California and ranked 55 out of 1,000 cities in the entire United States. This is amazing for Woodland–Wow! What makes Woodland a great place to live is affordability, cultural amenities and more.
Woodland is a city located in Yolo County, approximately 20 miles from downtown Sacramento and just a few minutes to Davis and the Sacramento Airport.
This town is rich in culture from small-town mom-and-pop retail shops, top-ranked schools, a great downtown vibe with lots of eateries for food and beverage, outdoor activities, farmers market, and more. Not to mention, wine tasting is not far along with gaming and entertainment at Cache Creek Casino.

One of my favorite spots to just wind down from a long day of work is The Burger Saloon along Main Street.
Featured Store: Main Street Antiques
After grabbing a bite to eat among the myriads of restaurants along Main Street, stop by Main Street Antiques for a “unique” shopping experience.
